TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Tokyo International Film Festival (東京國際影展) hosted the world premiere of "Double Happiness" (雙囍) on Tuesday (Oct. 28), drawing a large crowd of movie enthusiasts. Director Hsu Cheng-chieh (許承傑) expressed his delight, saying, "He was especially delighted to bring his new film Double Happiness to the Tokyo Film Festival and receive audience feedback".
Japanese actress Yoshioka Riho (吉岡里帆) surprised fans on the red carpet, graciously posing for photos and signing autographs. She has a special role in the film and shared her excitement, noting that this marks her first appearance in an overseas film, making it emotionally significant for her.
Actors Liu Kuan-ting (劉冠廷) and Jennifer Yu (余香凝) seized the opportunity to interact with fellow stars Mitsushima Hikari (滿島光) and Shibasaki Ko (柴崎幸), expressing their enthusiasm about the encounter. Liu revealed that the birth of his child during filming added depth to his portrayal of familial love in the movie.
