TAIPEI (TVBS News) — K-pop superstar G-Dragon (權志龍) caused massive traffic disruptions Sunday (Nov. 2) night when approximately 1,000 fans flooded Nanjing East Road following his sold-out Taipei Dome concert. The South Korean Big Bang leader's post-show restaurant celebration drew unprecedented crowds seeking glimpses of the international icon.
G-Dragon arrived at Gold Pig Taiwan restaurant (金豬食堂) at 11:17 p.m. Sunday in a luxury Maybach accompanied by bodyguard Tiger Brother (虎哥) and South Korean actor Lee Soo Hyuk (李洙赫). Police deployed multiple vehicles throughout the area as fan crowds continued swelling during the evening hours.
The Kwon Brothers (權氏兄弟), G-Dragon's twin dancers Kwon Young Deuk (權寧得) and Kwon Young Don (權寧敦), arrived earlier by bus at 10:40 p.m. Sunday evening. The professional performers acknowledged gathered fans by waving through vehicle windows before entering the celebration venue, generating initial excitement among the waiting crowd.
The restaurant celebration followed G-Dragon's "Übermensch" world tour encore performance at Taipei Dome Sunday night, marking his highly anticipated return to Taiwan. The international K-pop star previously performed three consecutive sold-out shows at the smaller Taipei Arena venue in July, demonstrating his growing popularity in the region. ◼
