TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwanese table tennis player Lin Yun-Ju (林昀儒) was eliminated from WTT Champions Frankfurt Friday (Nov. 7) after losing to South Korean Lee Sang-Su (李相秀). The world No. 11 player fell in the men's singles round of 16 with scores of 14-12, 11-13, 7-11, 9-11.

Lin entered the tournament as the 7th seed and former champion at this event. Despite holding a 2-1 win-loss record against Lee, Lin struggled to maintain his lead throughout the match. He secured the first game 14-12 in a deuce situation before losing momentum.

Lin led 5-1 in the second game but Lee staged a comeback to win 13-11. The third game saw Lee score five consecutive points, defeating Lin 7-11. Lin started the fourth game strongly with a 5-1 lead but lost 9-11, unable to sustain momentum.

Taiwan's top women's player Cheng I-ching (鄭怡靜) was eliminated in the round of 32, losing to 42-year-old German veteran Han Ying. Veteran player Huang Yi-hua (黃怡樺) ended her professional career Thursday (Nov. 6), losing 1-3 to South Korea's world No. 12 Shin Yu-bin (申裕斌).
