TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Rolex has embarked on a groundbreaking partnership with the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, Weiwuying (衛武營國家藝術文化中心), marking its first collaboration with a performing arts center in Taiwan. The initiative aims to elevate cultural experiences for local and international audiences.

Weiwuying has invited countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński (雅庫布・約瑟夫・奧林斯基) to perform in Taiwan in March, heralding the new partnership. Orliński, a Rolex ambassador since 2025, will set the stage for this collaboration. Chien Wen-pin (簡文彬), Weiwuying's artistic director, emphasized that the center has strived to embody the vision of "an arts center for everyone" since its 2018 opening, in line with Rolex's development strategy.

Lin Jen-he (林人和), general manager of Rolex Taiwan, highlighted that the partnership will continuously enrich cultural experiences for audiences. Over the years, Rolex has supported renowned theaters such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan (米蘭史卡拉歌劇院) and the Royal Opera House (倫敦皇家芭蕾暨歌劇院), as well as international music events like the Salzburg Festival (薩爾斯堡音樂節).

This collaboration promises to bring a new dimension to Taiwan's cultural landscape. Both Rolex and Weiwuying are poised to create memorable experiences that bridge local and global audiences, reflecting a shared commitment to the arts.
