TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA, 數發部), Taiwan's digital policy agency, established the first-ever SECPAAS_CYBER TAIWAN PAVILION at the RSAC 2026 Conference in the United States. Minister Lin Yi-jing (林宜敬) led a delegation to the globally recognized cybersecurity event from Sunday to Thursday (March 22-26). The pavilion showcased Taiwan's advancements in AI security, post-quantum cryptography, and zero-trust architecture, marking a significant milestone for the island's cybersecurity industry.

The pavilion, themed "Enabling a Trusted & Resilient Supply Chain," highlighted Taiwan's cutting-edge cybersecurity innovations at the San Francisco conference. Minister Lin emphasized the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures to protect the democratic supply chain, noting that Taiwan manufactures over 95 percent of advanced AI chips. Lin stated that Taiwan faces more than 2.6 million cyberattacks daily, underscoring the importance of strengthening the island's cybersecurity industry.

MODA brought eight Taiwanese cybersecurity firms to the conference, facilitating their engagement with global market demands and potential international partners. During the U.S. visit, the ministry organized industry networking activities connecting exhibitors with the International Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI). MODA also connected Taiwan's cybersecurity companies with several key North American Taiwanese business and tech organizations to expand business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

MODA stressed its commitment to promoting "cybersecurity technology autonomy," "cybersecurity industry scaling," and "cybersecurity market internationalization" as key policy priorities. The ministry aims to support Taiwanese cybersecurity firms in expanding their global presence through international conferences and partnerships. MODA seeks to establish Taiwan as a core node in a secure and reliable digital supply chain serving democratic nations worldwide. ◼
