TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Premier Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) on Tuesday (Oct. 22) addressed the troubling issue of leaked personal data involving high-ranking military officials, including Defense Minister Wellington Li-Hsiung Koo (顧立雄). Cho strongly supported the Ministry of National Defense's (MND, 國防部) investigation and urged necessary actions to resolve the situation.
Media reports have highlighted the public's concern over the potential leak of property declaration details of top military officials. Before attending the Legislative Yuan (立法院) session, Cho emphasized that the ministry's negligence requires administrative and legal handling. MND admitted procedural oversights and has implemented risk control measures to address the issue promptly. Officials have committed to reviewing accountability to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
