TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Global K-pop sensation G-DRAGON (權志龍, Kwon Ji-yong) has added a third Taipei concert on Friday (July 11) after tickets for his previously announced performances sold out within minutes. The South Korean superstar's 2025 "Übermensch" world tour will now include three consecutive shows at Taipei Arena (台北小巨蛋), Taiwan's premier indoor concert venue, ending an eight-year absence from the island's stages.
Tickets for the eagerly anticipated performances range from NT$8,980 (US$300) to NT$800 (about US$27), with premium-tier purchasers receiving exclusive merchandise vouchers and fan experiences. The centrally located venue is easily accessible via the Taipei Metro's Songshan-Xindian line at the dedicated Taipei Arena station. Concertgoers may also utilize the city's extensive bus network or the popular YouBike public bicycle sharing system. Additional Phase 2 tour dates include Sydney performances on July 2-3, Melbourne on July 6, and Bangkok on August 2.
The highly influential artist released his third studio album, "Übermensch," on Feb. 25, marking a significant return to the music scene after a period of relative quiet. His ambitious global tour bearing the same name kicked off with two sold-out hometown performances in Seoul on March 29 and 30, generating tremendous excitement among his international fanbase. ◼
