TAINAN (TVBS News) — Authorities lifted the land warning for Typhoon Danas on Monday (July 7), but Tainan's Xinying District (新營區) continues to grapple with widespread damage. A brick house collapsed during the storm, highlighting the typhoon's impact on the area.
An elderly tenant in his 80s, residing in the collapsed brick house, recounted his harrowing escape. He said he was sleeping inside when the house fell.
