TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan offers half-price tickets at 13 National Forest Recreation Areas (國家森林遊樂區) during National Day holiday Oct. 10-12. The Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency (農業部林業及自然保育署), Taiwan's forest management authority, announced the initiative Friday (Oct. 3) to showcase autumn scenery. The promotion aims to attract visitors to experience diverse forest landscapes across the island.

The agency manages destinations including Taipingshan (太平山), Neidong (內洞), and Manyueyuan (滿月圓) with diverse landscapes. Taipingshan's Taiwan Beech Trail creates golden corridors while Manyueyuan displays vibrant red Acer serrulatum trees. Dongyanshan (東眼山), Lalashan (拉拉山), Basianshan (八仙山), and Alishan (阿里山) showcase autumn colors.

Aowanda (奧萬大) features taxodium distichum trees complementing maple foliage while Dasyueshan (大雪山) provides stunning sunset views with vibrant cloud seas. Low-altitude areas including Neidong (內洞), Shuangliu (雙流), Kenting (墾丁), Jhihben (知本), and Chihnan (池南) offer pleasant weather. These locations provide ideal conditions for leisurely forest exploration.

Neidong and Shuangliu showcase waterfalls rich in negative ions while Kenting features Heritiera littoralis trees. Jhihben's Thousand Banyan Trees and Chihnan's Halun Forestry Culture offer unique attractions for visitors. The agency encourages exploration of these natural wonders, promising memorable autumn experiences. ◼
