TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Central Weather Administration (CWA, 中央氣象署) issued a strong wind advisory on Monday (March 2), warning of gusts potentially exceeding level 8 (62–74 km/h) across 15 counties and cities in Taiwan by Monday afternoon. Officials expect these conditions to persist through Tuesday (March 3) night, posing risks to outdoor structures and activities.

Residents in New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, and Hsinchu City, according to the CWA. They advised caution around trees and unstable structures, urging outdoor workers to prioritize safety. Additionally, authorities recommend securing outdoor items and driving carefully due to potential delays in public transport.

Meteorologist Lin De-en (林得恩) predicts a significant temperature drop on Tuesday, with a decrease of 10 degrees Celsius compared to Monday. Lin noted the possibility of snowfall above 3,500 meters in central and northern Taiwan, with increased rainfall chances across the island on Tuesday and Wednesday (March 4). He highlighted that atmospheric instability will rise due to a passing front and increased moisture from the South China rain belt.

The Facebook page "Look Weather Typhoon" (觀氣象看天氣) reported rainfall on Monday morning due to a frontal system, with colder air expected to arrive on Tuesday, dropping northern temperatures to 14 degrees Celsius. The blog also anticipates continued instability and cooler temperatures through Thursday (March 5), with another front and cold air mass arriving Friday (March 6).
