Poll: DPP

TAIPEI (TVBS News) — In the ongoing battle for public opinion, the latest poll from My-formosa.com, released on Friday (Dec. 15), indicates a narrow lead for the Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) "Lai-Hsiao ticket" with 35.7% voter support.

In a closely contested race, the Kuomintang's (KMT) "Hou-Kong ticket" closely follows with 31.7% support, trailing by four percentage points. Notably, this gap has shrunk by 1.7 percentage points compared to the previous poll, signaling a tightening competition.

The Taiwan People's Party's (TPP) "Ko-Ying ticket" maintains its third-place position with 18.6% support, consistently occupying the bottom rung of public favor.

Support for the leading Lai-Hsiao ticket has fluctuated between 35% and 40%, maintaining a fragile lead within a 6-percentage-point range over the Hou-Kong counterpart as public preferences remain fluid.

The poll, conducted from Dec. 12 to 14, employed a stratified random sampling method based on Chunghwa Telecom's residential phonebook database.

To ensure inclusivity, a "random digit dialing" technique modified the last two digits of selected phone numbers before dispatching them via the Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system. A total of 1,201 individuals participated in the survey, with a confidence level of 95% and a maximum margin of sampling error of ±2.8%.
