TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Electric vehicles and renewable energy are poised to reshape the future of transportation. Against this backdrop, Taiwan and Japan have collaborated to develop an electric three-wheeler set to launch in Taiwan by 2025.

Unlike a standard sedan, this charming electric three-wheeler sports a yellow paint job, round headlights, and compact dimensions of 2.47 meters in length and 0.97 meters in width. It features a steering wheel-like controller and is equipped with air conditioning, a popular option in Taiwan's humid climate.

The vehicle's design concept caters to the dense urban environments of both Taiwan and Japan. Kurotsuchi, editor-in-chief of SanjiNoir, noted, "The electric three-wheeler is ideal for small families with short commutes, offering ease of parking due to its size."

The classification of this vehicle, whether as a car or a motorcycle, remains a pressing issue in Taiwan. It necessitates new regulations to address such innovative transport solutions. As the shift toward electric and renewable energy vehicles gains momentum, companies like Ford and Luxgen are ramping up investments in these technologies, too.
