TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Authorities arrested and handcuffed 11 Taiwanese fugitives at Taoyuan International Airport (桃園國際機場) on Thursday (July 4). The Criminal Investigation Bureau (刑事警察局) escorted them to the Taichung District Prosecutors Office (台中地檢署).

Indonesian immigration officials in Bali apprehended these individuals as part of a larger group of foreign nationals involved in cybercrime, including over 100 Taiwanese. Ministry of Justice Criminal Investigation Bureau Director-General Chou Yu-wei (周幼偉) emphasized, "This cross-border case demonstrates the government's determination to detect and arrest wanted criminals across borders."

Indonesia's immigration bureau recently announced the arrest of 103 people, with 102 identified as Taiwanese and one confirmed as a Hong Kong national. The 11 Taiwanese suspects transported back on Thursday face charges of money laundering, fraud, and unlawful detention, while Indonesian authorities have deported the remaining Taiwanese nationals in batches for immigration violations.

China Airlines Flight CI762 brought the 11 fugitives to Taoyuan International Airport at 9:15 p.m. Director-General Chou urged Taiwanese citizens to carefully evaluate overseas job offers and avoid illegal activities, warning that they could face legal action in both the host country and Taiwan. The Criminal Investigation Bureau noted, "The returning 11 suspects are the last of the batch."
