TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei Metro (台北捷運公司) announced last Sunday (July 14) that the employees involved in a drug-related incident earlier this month have been suspended from train operations and are fully cooperating with police.

On July 4, a wallet containing narcotics was found in a driver's lounge at the Nanshijiao (南勢角) station, prompting an investigation by the Taipei City's Rapid Transit Division (RTD, 台北市捷運警察隊). The RTD sent the evidence to the forensic center and reviewed surveillance footage to identify individuals entering and exiting the lounge.

The Taipei City Government (台北市政府) faced criticism from Taipei City Councilor Ho Meng-hua (何孟樺), who called for a review of anti-drug measures for the repeated drug incidents in government-controlled units.

Authorities continue investigating the incident, and Taipei Metro remains committed to ensuring passenger safety and maintaining a drug-free environment.
