LONDON (TVBS News) — Taiwanese tennis player Hsieh Su-Wei (謝淑薇) clinched her ninth Grand Slam doubles title last Sunday (July 14) at Wimbledon, winning the mixed doubles final alongside Polish partner Jan Zielinski. They defeated the Mexican duo with a score of 6-4, 6-2.

With this latest title, Hsieh's career now boasts seven Grand Slam women's doubles titles and two mixed doubles titles, including a victory with Zielinski at the Australian Open earlier this year.

In the Wimbledon final, the pair broke the serve of Santiago Gonzalez and Giuliana Olmos in the first game of the opening set, securing the first set in 43 minutes. In the second set, Hsieh and Zielinski dominated their opponents, wrapping up the set and match in just 34 minutes. Hsieh displayed remarkable skill and composure, frequently using a soft-touch technique to overpower her opponents.

After the match, Hsieh expressed gratitude to her partner and support team, stating that she was very thankful to her teammate for delivering such a wonderful game. She also expressed her appreciation to her family, coach, and friends, who have always supported her at Wimbledon.

Hsieh's Olympic partner, Tsao Chia-yi (曹家宜), also celebrated a victory at the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) 125 Nordea Open in Sweden on clay. Their recent successes bolster their confidence as they prepare for the Olympics.
