BERLIN (TVBS News) — Minister of the National Science and Technology Council (國家科學與技術委員會) Wu Cheng-wen (吳誠文) emphasized Taiwan's need for global collaboration to expand AI applications on Thursday (Sept. 5).

The announcement came as Taiwan's delegation participated in IFA Berlin, one of the world's largest consumer electronics exhibitions.

Wu highlighted Taiwan's commitment to using AI to serve its citizens and collaborate with global partners, including Germany, to drive AI innovation.

He cited TSMC's (台積電) semiconductor foundry in Dresden, Germany, as an example of how Taiwan supports the EU automotive industry's AI-driven autonomous driving solutions.

Leif Lindner, executive director of the IFA, expressed his admiration for Taiwan's digital innovation capabilities. Reflecting on his experience at COMPUTEX Taipei (台北國際電腦展), Lindner praised Taiwan's continuous advancements in microchips, computer equipment, and AI solutions.
