TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) responded Wednesday (Sept. 11) to praise from Taiwanese pop diva Jody Chiang (江蕙) about his singing voice, "I'm flattered," he said.

Jody Chiang will perform at the National Day gala on Oct. 5, marking the first non-sporting event at the Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋). Recently, Chiang revealed she has been actively battling cancer since 2015 and has now recovered her health.

Chiang Wan-an, a self-proclaimed fan of the singer, shared his enthusiasm for her music, often singing her songs at karaoke.

When asked if he would consider a duet with Jody Chiang, the mayor emphasized that the most crucial thing is Jody Chiang could bring her incredible voice to all her fans.

The mayor also hinted at future opportunities to hear Jody Chiang's voice, suggesting that her performances may extend beyond the National Day gala. With her health restored, fans can look forward to more appearances from the beloved singer.
