KAOHSIUNG (TVBS News) — Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai (陳其邁) announced Thursday (Dec. 5) that Sandara Park (Dara), a member of the K-pop group 2NE1, will join the city's New Year's Eve celebration. The event, scheduled for Dec. 31 at 6:55 p.m. at Dream Mall (夢時代), promises a star-studded lineup.
According to a city government press release, this event marks Sandara Park's first New Year's Eve performance in Taiwan and the first time a top-tier K-pop star will grace the Kaohsiung stage. City officials noted that 2NE1 plans to return to Taiwan in February 2025, saying the Kaohsiung celebration will offer a early glimpse of Sandara Park's performance skills.
Mayor Chen revealed the lineup before a city council meeting, highlighting performances by Crowd Lu (盧廣仲), Lala Hsu (徐佳瑩), Accusefive (告五人), and Fire EX. (滅火器), with the exciting addition of Sandara Park. Sandara Park expressed her excitement about the upcoming celebrations, inviting global fans, called Black Jack, to experience the passion and music of Kaohsiung.
The event will be hosted by Eddy Ou (歐漢聲), Emerson Tsai (蔡昌憲), and Chen Ming-chu (陳明珠), collaborating for the first time. The lineup also includes Mixer (麋先生), U:NUS, Aquaman (阿跨面), Yappy, RapShark (芮鯊), BBOY NANA, GENBLUE (幻藍小熊), and WING STARS. The event promises a memorable night for music enthusiasts and K-pop fans alike.
