TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Ancillary Power (安瑟樂威) has aggregated over 200 megawatts of diverse energy resources, establishing itself as the leading virtual power plant aggregator in Taiwan. Ivan Cheng (鄭智文), founder and CEO, made this announcement at the Smart City Summit and Expo (智慧城市展) on Thursday (March 20).

In the past three years, Ancillary Power has successfully aggregated over 200 megawatts of energy resources, achieving an impressive 100% success rate in more than 100 dispatches from Taipower (台電). The company notably helped prevent blackouts during an earthquake on March 3 last year.

Cheng showcased the company's innovative one-stop smart charging stations, which integrate solar and battery energy storage. These stations allow customers to charge with free carbon energy and store excess power for Taipower. Ancillary Power offers customized integration solutions using protocols like OPCC, MOBAs, and TCPIP while adhering to electricity standards IEC 61850.

Cheng emphasized the significant role of Taiwan's ICP companies in pioneering innovative grid solutions. Ancillary Power collaborates with many of these entities to swiftly develop solutions. According to Cheng, manufacturing clients gain additional revenue streams from Taipower, fostering further investment and supporting the firm's ESG-focused objectives.

Cheng unveiled Ancillary Power's future expansion plans into Asian markets such as Korea and France in the latter half of this year. This expansion aligns with the company's strategy for a global energy transition.
