TAIPEI (TVBS News) — McDonald's Taiwan will reintroduce its wildly popular McGriddles sausage burgers (厚鬆餅堡系列) next Wednesday, the fast-food giant confirmed Monday (April 14). Following last year's overwhelming demand, the company has dramatically increased production, preparing 2.3 million units — triple the previous supply. The breakfast sensation debuted last November, creating unprecedented consumer excitement and lengthy queues across the island, with the initial stock depleted nationwide in just five days, far short of the planned six-week availability.
Anticipating another surge of enthusiasm, McDonald's executives have promised additional details following the completion of internal preparations. The coveted breakfast menu features three distinct varieties: Sausage, Egg & Cheese; Sausage only; and Ham, Egg & Cheese. The sweet-and-savory sandwiches will be served during standard breakfast hours from 5 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., though availability may vary by location. Devoted customers are hoping for a more accessible rollout compared to last year's frenzy. ★
