TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei 101 (台北101) and Taipei Music Center (TMC, 台北流行音樂中心) announced Tuesday (Sept. 16) the winners of their collaborative SPARK the MUSIC New Year's Eve Fireworks Music selection project. The prestigious venues selected four original compositions from 234 submissions for a spectacular December 31 showcase that will seamlessly blend musical artistry with pyrotechnic displays. This groundbreaking collaboration represents a new chapter in Taiwan's New Year's Eve celebrations, promising an unprecedented fusion of sound and visual spectacle.
Chia Yeong-chieh (賈永婕), chairwoman of Taipei 101, conveyed both excitement and pressure regarding this year's ambitious fireworks display, emphasizing her commitment to achieving a creative breakthrough. She acknowledged the personal significance of the project, noting the deep meaning this year's celebration holds for her.
