TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's virtual reality pioneer HTC (宏達國際) announced Wednesday (Sept. 17) that its revolutionary VIVE Eagle AI glasses have sparked unprecedented consumer enthusiasm, with enthusiastic pre-orders signaling a breakthrough moment for wearable technology. The Taiwan-based company reported overwhelmingly positive feedback from early adopters who praised the smart eyewear's seamless integration of artificial intelligence into daily life. This consumer response positions HTC at the forefront of the emerging AI wearables market in Asia.

The innovative eyewear integrates AI assistant capabilities, intelligent photography, music playback and sophisticated voice translation functions activated through simple "Hey VIVE" voice commands. Early users celebrated the device's transformative hands-free convenience, particularly highlighting menu translation capabilities during international travel and effortless voice-activated photography during exercise routines. This technological convergence represents a significant leap forward in making artificial intelligence accessible through fashionable, everyday wearables.

HTC meticulously engineered the VIVE Eagle specifically for Asian facial features, incorporating adjustable nose pads and customizable temple structures across medium and large sizes in four distinctive colors: red, coffee, gray and black. The Taiwan-manufactured device masterfully combines sleek geometric lines with sophisticated translucent frames, deliberately targeting fashion-conscious consumers who demand both technological innovation and aesthetic appeal. This design philosophy reflects HTC's deep understanding of Asian market preferences and style sensibilities.

Consumers gained access Wednesday (Sept. 17) to hands-on demonstrations at 100 Taiwan Mobile (台灣大哥大) stores and 11 premium Jia Yan Optical (嘉晏光學) 2020EYEhaus locations across Taiwan. Taiwan Mobile customers enrolling in the telecommunications giant's "OP響樂生活科技生活專案" technology lifestyle plan can acquire the glasses without upfront costs. HTC confirmed that popular gray and coffee-colored models, alongside large-size options, will reach retail locations during September's third week. ◼
