TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Republic of China Armed Forces (RDRC) detected the ballistic movement and trajectory of a Chinese satellite rocket through its Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems early Sunday (Dec. 10).

Appropriate alert measures and responses have been initiated. The Chinese satellite was launched via a Long March rocket from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in Sichuan Province at 9:58 a.m. The rocket's flight path passed over Taiwan's southwestern airspace at an altitude beyond Earth's atmosphere.

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) had previously reported that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) conducted satellite launch missions from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center (JSLC) in Gansu Province on Dec. 4, 5, and 9, directed toward the Indian Ocean. Another launch occurred on Dec. 6 near Yangjiang in Guangdong Province, with a trajectory pointing to the South China Sea.

According to the MND, these satellite rocket launches took place outside Earth's atmosphere and posed no threat to Taiwan.
