TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Now that the dust has settled from the Nvidia GTC event, the eyes of the technology industry are turning towards Computex 2024, which takes place at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from June 4 to 7.

Like many other major international tradeshows, Computex has experienced a rocky few years due to disruptions from COVID-19 as well as a slowdown in the global PC market. Thanks to the explosive growth of a generative AI, however, the event is set to return with a bang this year as Taiwan's PC manufacturing powerhouses such as Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and Foxconn look to ride this new wave with demonstrations of their latest systems and devices for the AI era.

The world's largest semiconductor players, including Nvidia, Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, and MediaTek will also have a huge presence at Computex as they battle for a greater share of the rapidly growing AI server, AI PC, and edge AI device categories. The keynote schedule for June 3 underlines the importance the semiconductor industry places on the event. A veritable who's who of industry luminaries are set to outline their visions for the AI era, including Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm, Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, and Dr. Rick Tsai, Vice Chairman and CEO of MediaTek.

There will be more keynotes on the future of AI from global technology giants at the Computex Forum on June 5. In the morning session, senior executives from Nvidia, Google, Synopsys, and AWS will examine key technology and market trends with a special focus on how generative AI applications can accelerate innovation and new business development. The main theme for the afternoon session will be AI hardware innovation, with representatives from Micron, Arm, Seagate, Ampere, and Phison sharing their insights on how to develop next-generation AI systems and devices for consumer, commercial, and industrial deployments.

Computex 2024 will feature 1,500 exhibitors and is expected to attract over 40,000 international buyers. To learn more about the event, please click here:
