WASHINGTON (TVBS News) — The United States House of Representatives passed a foreign aid bill of US$95.3 billion on Saturday (April 20), providing security assistance to Indo-Pacific countries, including Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.

The "Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Bill" was approved with 385 votes in favor and 34 against, allocating US$8.1 billion to countries such as Taiwan and the Philippines to bolster their defense capabilities to deter China.

The aid bill for Ukraine was passed with 311 votes to 112, allocating US$60.8 billion to assist the country and its regional partners in countering Russia. The House finally approved the aid bill for Israel with 366 votes to 58, providing Israel with US$26.4 billion.

The White House stated that the bill would provide crucial support to Israel and Ukraine, humanitarian aid to Gaza, Sudan, Haiti, and others, and enhance security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. President Biden emphasized that this move aims to demonstrate the U.S.'s global leadership.

However, The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that the bill would intensify the global crisis.
