TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Adam Bobrow, the acclaimed "voice of table tennis," recently opened up about his enthusiasm for the sport and his aspirations for its future during an exclusive TVBS interview. Known for his engaging commentary and dedicated YouTube channel on table tennis, Bobrow is driven to make the sport accessible to newcomers and weave an entertaining narrative around it.

Bobrow highlighted how his role enables him to travel globally, absorb diverse cultures and languages, and forge new connections, notably in Taiwan. He observed critical differences in sports culture between Taiwan and the U.S., pointing out that, unlike America's commercialized and dream-driven sports environment, Taiwan has a more academic-focused culture with less emphasis on professional sports careers.

"There's a strong sort of buxiban culture," Bobrow commented. "Study, study, study, do your homework, and then do more of it."

Despite these challenges, Bobrow remains optimistic about fostering a more creative and passionate society through sports in Taiwan. He noted significant growth in table tennis since the Olympics and sees potential for its broader appeal.

"Since the Olympic Games, I've seen a growth in table tennis," he continued. Bobrow believes that increased interest among youth could drive more entrepreneurial efforts to expand sports' popularity in Taiwan, though trailblazers are required to establish these new markets.

"There has to be a market. And which comes first?" Bobrow questioned. "Sometimes you have to create the market; there wasn't a path before, and you have to be the trailblazer to create that path."
