TAIPEI (TVBS News) — NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang hosted a dinner for 14 supplier partners on Thursday (May 31) during which he passionately declared that artificial intelligence represents a significant opportunity for Taiwan.

The dinner took place at a traditional Taiwanese restaurant, attended by top tech industry leaders such as Hon Hai Technology Chair Young Liu, Quanta Computer Chair Barry Lam, ASUSTeK Computer Chair Jonney Shih, and Pegatron Chair Tung Tzu-Hsien.

Speaking to the media, Huang emphasized Taiwan's vital role in the global tech sector, with giants like TSMC, Quanta, and Hon Hai headquartered there. "My friends and I are talking about an enormous opportunity for Taiwan here. I'm very proud of them," he said.

When questioned about potential big news at the upcoming COMPUTEX, the CEO playfully responded that he had to keep it secret. COMPUTEX 2024 will take place at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from June 4-7, under the theme "Connecting AI."

In a gesture of goodwill, Huang signed autographs for fans and served beverages to journalists, highlighting his rapport with the media and local community.
