TAIPEI (TVBS News) — ASE Technology Holding (日月光投控) reported on Friday (Jan. 10) that its 2024 revenue reached NT$595.41 billion, marking a 2.3% year-on-year increase and achieving the second-highest annual revenue in its history. The company's fourth-quarter consolidated revenue hit NT$162.264 billion, showing a 1.3% quarterly growth and a 1% rise compared to the same period in 2023, slightly surpassing market expectations.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, ASE Technology's packaging, testing, and materials revenue amounted to NT$88.363 billion, reflecting a 3% quarterly increase and a 7.8% year-on-year growth. Meanwhile, its subsidiary, Universal Scientific Industrial (環旭電子), reported fourth-quarter revenue of RMB¥16.684 billion, up 0.38% from the previous quarter.
ASE Technology continues to expand its advanced packaging capacity this year. Analysts predict that the sector's performance could contribute 10% to 15% to the overall packaging, testing, and materials revenue. They also expect ASE Technology's advanced packaging performance to double compared to last year.
