The facilities, representing the most substantial investment in the company's quarter-century history, attracted a who's who of Taiwan's tech ecosystem to the northern city of Zhubei (竹北), with semiconductor giants NVIDIA (輝達) and AMD (超微) sending high-level delegations to the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The ceremony featured Wistron's complete executive roster, with Chairman Simon Lin (林憲銘) and President Jeff Lin (林建勳) presiding alongside WiWynn Chairwoman Emily Hong (洪麗寗) and Wistron NeWeb Corporation Chairman Haydn Hsieh (謝宏波). The corporate leadership showcase extended to Chief of Staff Frank FC Lin (林福謙) and officials from Wistron Information Technology & Services (WITS, 緯軟), underscoring the strategic importance of the new facilities to the technology conglomerate's global positioning in the competitive AI landscape.
The inauguration drew support from across Taiwan's technology ecosystem, including networking specialist Accton (智邦), memory chip producer Winbond Electronics Corp.
