TAIPEI (TVBS News) — A German drone startup forged a strategic alliance Wednesday (Sept. 10) with Taiwanese technology firm Sysgration (系統電) to bring advanced electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft and aerial intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions to Taiwan. Quantum Systems announced the partnership in a press release, emphasizing plans to localize production and provide comprehensive technical support. The collaboration represents a significant milestone in Taiwan's rapidly expanding unmanned aerial systems industry and defense technology sector.
Sysgration will assume exclusive responsibility for sales, manufacturing, joint procurement, product lifecycle support, and maintenance training services across Quantum Systems' complete product portfolio in Taiwan. Albert Hsing (邢健), general manager of Sysgration's Automotive & Mobile Division, emphasized the partnership's transformative potential to accelerate localized production capabilities. The collaboration promises to deliver essential technical integration and comprehensive logistical services throughout the island's defense and commercial sectors.
Hsing highlighted Sysgration's manufacturing expertise and artificial intelligence proficiency, capabilities that will enable delivery of comprehensive aerial solutions for public safety and critical mission monitoring applications. The executive stated that Taiwan's manufacturing heritage, rigorous quality systems, and secure facilities are built for critical defense applications. He added that the partnership will deliver and sustain ISR platforms that Taiwan and regional partners can rely on for long-term operational requirements.
The strategic collaboration will position Sysgration to provide localized manufacturing capabilities and customized services ensuring rapid mass production and stable product delivery schedules. This initiative could establish Taiwan as a pivotal regional hub for rapid deployment operations, comprehensive logistical support, and collaborative research and development activities.
