TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Over 300 fans crowded Kaohsiung International Airport (高雄國際機場) on Sunday (Dec. 7) to bid farewell to Korean celebrities departing after the annual AAA Awards. The event marked the first time the Korean awards ceremony was held in Taiwan. Korean stars, including Park Bo-gum and groups TWS, IVE, and LESSERAFIM, departed throughout the day.
Park Bo-gum, who won the Best Actor of the Year award for streaming platforms, arrived at the airport in the early hours to an enthusiastic fan reception. The Korean actor greeted fans with a wave, eliciting loud cheers from the crowd of over 300 supporters who gathered to see him off. Music groups TWS, IVE, and LESSERAFIM also departed during the morning hours from the southern Taiwan airport.
Boy band RIIZE departed directly from Kaohsiung for a scheduled signing event in Hong Kong on Sunday night, bypassing a return to South Korea. Actor Lee Jun-ho, who won this year's Best Actor of the Year award for TV, returned to South Korea on a chartered flight with other award winners. Several other musical groups also departed on the same chartered flight from the southern Taiwan city.
The AAA Awards wrapped up on Saturday (Dec. 6) at Kaohsiung's National Stadium (國家體育場), marking the conclusion of the main awards ceremony in the southern Taiwan city. The ACON 2025 event continued on Sunday afternoon, featuring Taiwanese (G)I-DLE member Shuhua (舒華) and 13 other Korean artists in various performances for enthusiastic fans.
