TAIPEI (TVBS News) — BTS (방탄소년단, 防彈少年團) announced Friday (May 22) that their world tour will include three consecutive shows at Kaohsiung National Stadium (高雄國家體育場) on Nov. 19, 21 and 22. The concerts mark the first time a K-pop boy band will perform three back-to-back shows at the venue, organizers said.

The "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'" spans Asia, North America, Europe and South America, with every show sold out. Live Nation Taiwan (台灣活動通), the event organizer, will implement a real-name ticketing system for the Taiwan concerts. Presale tickets for Live Nation Taiwan members begin at noon on June 3, with general sales launching through TixCraft (拓元售票) at noon on June 4.

The first phase of the tour covers 34 cities with 79 performances, setting a new record for K-pop artists. The tour follows the release of BTS's fifth studio album, "ARIRANG," which became available for pre-order on Jan. 16. The album's title references the traditional Korean folk song, embodying the group's cultural mission.

Organizers installed a 300 cm x 300 cm (9.8 feet x 9.8 feet) LED display and a 3D logo at the intersection of ATT 4 Fun and Taipei 101 (台北101) in Taipei's Xinyi District (信義區). The installation has become a photo spot for fans counting down to the Kaohsiung concerts. ◼
