Taiwanese parents in favor of CCTV cameras in kindergartens

TAIPEI (TVBS News) — More than 5,000 people in Taiwan recently voiced their support for surveillance cameras in local kindergartens.

According to media reports, they saw the proposal as a potential safeguard from child abuse allegations. 

Opponents argued that such an additional measure shows a lack of trust in teachers and staff.

News of improper discipline in kindergarten surfaces occasionally, and parents and teachers are worried about the children. 

School associations recommended creating a healthier learning environment to address inappropriate disciplinary behavior.
