TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Asiahub New Media Summit, now in its fifth year, kicked off on Tuesday (Dec. 19), focusing on the international promotion of Taiwan's industrial content.

The two-day summit, orchestrated by the New Media Entertainment Association (NMEA) and themed "Empowering," assembled 60 speakers for 19 keynotes, dialogues, and seven workshops. It highlighted "International Content Trends" and the "Taiwan Pop Industry Accelerator," among other media topics.

Speaking at the summit, TVBS General Manager Sheena Liu shared her positive outlook on Taiwan's content industry. "In recent years, Taiwanese works have drawn significant attention from the Chinese-speaking community. It's an opportune moment for Taiwanese content and creators to shine," she said.

Lu Chun-wei, director of the Taiwan Creative Content Agency, emphasized the current market dynamics. "We are now in an era of segmented audiences, and every creator needs to tackle these specialized markets, which demands a cross-boundary grafting strategy," he noted.

The event underscores Taiwan's vital role in Asia's content creation sphere. A notable example of government and industry collaboration is the Executive Yuan's backing of the NT$10 billion Kuroshio Plan, a four-year project currently pending final approval at the Legislative Yuan.
