TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The U.S. military's construction of a floating pier in Gaza, ostensibly for delivering supplies, may also serve as a model for use in the event of a Taiwan Strait conflict, according to a Sunday (March 24) analysis by The Daily Telegraph.

Meanwhile, in response to ongoing disturbances from the Chinese Communist Party's aircraft, Taiwan's military conducted a Joint Civil Military Air-Raid Exercise early Tuesday morning, and the latest defense budget reveals plans to add 19 political warfare units to the navy.

The latest Ministry of National Defense's (MND) budget report reveals new formations, including the addition of 15 company-level, two battalion-level, and two brigade-level political warfare positions in the navy, all seen as aimed at China.

The Tien-Kung III missile, developed by the National Chung-shan Institute of Science and Technology, is a domestically produced missile capable of defending against various aerial threats.

The military previously announced plans to construct 12 new Tien-Kung III missile sites across Taiwan.

On Tuesday, the Air Force Command Headquarters issued a statement saying that to enhance overall defense combat effectiveness, various types of military aircraft were integrated with Tien-Kung Patriot missiles and other land and sea units to conduct an "overall air defense operation plan exercise" between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.
