TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Premier-designate Cho Jung-tai of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) announced the fourth wave of personnel appointments for the Executive Yuan on Friday (April 19) morning.

The new cabinet members are gradually revealed following President-elect Lai Ching-te's announcement last week of Cho's appointment as the new Premier.

Executive Yuan Deputy Secretary-General Ho Pei-shan is set to take over as the new Minister of Labor.

Former DPP legislator and professor at the National Taiwan University College of Medicine, Chiu Tai-yuan, has been appointed as the Minister of Health and Welfare. Chiu will be responsible for realizing President Lai's "Healthy Taiwan" policy.

The Hakka Affairs Council will be headed by Director Ku Hsiu-fei of the Tainan City Hakka Affairs Department, adding another female member to the cabinet.

Tseng Chih-yung, Director of the Indigenous People's Cultural Development Center and a member of the Paiwan tribe, will ascend to the position of Chairman of the Council of Indigenous Peoples. Tseng, a National Taiwan University law graduate, joined the DPP at a young age and has been involved in non-party activities, making him a seasoned organizational talent.

Meteorologist Peng Chi-ming will take on the role of Minister of Environment. The appointments reflect the incoming administration's commitment to a diverse and experienced cabinet.
