PINGTUNG (TVBS News) — A construction site accident in Changchih Township (長治鄉), Pingtung County (屏東縣), has left a 29-year-old worker, surnamed Tsai, with severe injuries after he fell from the seventh-floor scaffolding on Thursday (May 23).
Rescue teams received the call at 10:58 a.m. and quickly arrived at the scene to attend to Tsai, who suffered from a skull fracture and intracranial hemorrhage and was in a coma after the incident occurred at 10:52 a.m.
Tsai was initially taken to Pingtung Christian Hospital (屏東基督教醫院) for urgent care, but the gravity of his injuries necessitated a subsequent transfer to Kaohsiung Chang Gung Hospital (高雄長庚醫院) for further treatment.
Authorities are now working to determine the precise cause of the accident, which remains unclear.
