TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Recurring leaks at Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋) have prompted fans to call for immediate action from the city government and Farglory Group (遠雄). The issue has significantly impacted Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an's (蔣萬安) online reputation, with negative mentions reaching 9,400 in June — nearly double the positive mentions, according to data from RTCC (榮泰創數據).

RTCC links the mayor’s poor online sentiment to several controversies, including the leaks at Taipei Dome, disputes over priority seating on the Taipei Metro, and food safety concerns at Taipei restaurant chain Polam Kopitiam. In contrast, Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai (陳其邁) has maintained a balance of online volume and favorability, largely due to his promotion of the concert economy.

In related news, Andy Lau (劉德華) is set to perform four shows at Taipei Arena (台北小巨蛋) in late October. This year, Taipei has already seen performances by South Korea's IU and BabyMonster, with more planned for the summer, including Hikaru Utada (宇多田光) and Super Junior. Despite these high-profile events, the issues at Taipei Dome remain a significant concern for both fans and city officials, who are under pressure to improve the venue.
