TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Authorities on Thursday night (Sept. 19) questioned a Taiwanese woman surnamed Wu as a potential witness in connection with leasing a shared office space for BAC Consulting KFT (BAC) in Taiwan. They later transferred her to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office (士林地檢署) for further questioning.

The investigation followed allegations that Gold Apollo (台灣金阿波羅公司) supplied pagers containing detonators to Hezbollah (黎巴嫩真主黨) members, leading to a series of deadly explosions on Tuesday.

Wu remained silent when the media asked whether BAC's office in Taiwan was a shell company and whether she knew about the company's exports to Lebanon.

Gold Apollo stated that BAC Consulting KFT, based in Hungary, produced and sold the products, with Gold Apollo only authorizing the trademark.

BAC's office, located in a shared space on Minquan East Road, Taipei, handles business cooperation with Gold Apollo. The company, named Apollo Systems Ltd. (阿波羅系列有限公司), was established with a capital of NT$100,000 and approved by the Taipei City Government on April 11, 2024.

The Shilin District Prosecutors Office directed the Ministry of Justice to search four locations, including Gold Apollo and BAC's Taiwan office. They also summoned Gold Apollo's head, Hsu Ching-kuang (許清光), and Wu as witnesses.

Authorities have not disclosed further details about the investigation.
