TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Grammy-winning group The Black Eyed Peas will return to Taiwan this November, performing at the Taoyuan Sunlight Arena (桃園陽光劇場) as part of their highly anticipated Asia tour. The announcement came Monday (July 14) through concert promoter Udnfunlife Co., Ltd (聯合數位文創), with band member Taboo reflecting on the group's remarkable three-decade musical journey in the industry.
The iconic hip-hop group last performed in Taiwan nearly two decades ago, with their 2006 show at the Taipei Zhongshan Soccer Stadium (台北中山足球場) leaving lasting impressions. Band members have expressed warm memories of Taiwan's vibrant culinary scene and the enthusiasm of local fans. Taboo revealed his plans to visit Taiwan's sneaker boutiques during the upcoming trip, citing his passion for sneaker culture, collectibles, and comic books.
The multi-platinum artists behind chart-topping hits like "Boom Boom Pow," "I Gotta Feeling," and "Pump It" have continued their success with recent albums "TRANSLATION" and "ELEVATION." Organizers promise the November concert will showcase signature tracks spanning their three-decade career alongside performances featuring J Rey Soul, the Filipino American vocalist who joined the group's lineup in recent years. ◼
