TSMC reported that local procurement of indirect raw materials in Taiwan reached 65% in 2024, establishing a foundation for the company's ambitious 68% target by 2030. The sustainability report revealed that procurement of local components in Taiwan achieved 46% in 2024, with strategic plans to boost this figure to 60% by 2030. These metrics demonstrate the semiconductor giant's systematic approach to strengthening domestic supply chain relationships while reducing environmental impact.
TSMC has established independent procurement organizations at its overseas subsidiaries, including TSMC China (台積電中國), TSMC Nanjing (台積電南京), TSMC Washington, TSMC Arizona, and JASM Japan Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing. These specialized entities work closely with regional suppliers to enhance technology capabilities and quality standards across global operations. The overseas subsidiaries achieved a local procurement rate of 33.1% for indirect raw materials in 2024, with progressive targets of 35.6% in 2025 and 52.5% by 2030.
