TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Asia Artist Awards celebrates its 10th anniversary this weekend with its first Taiwan event. The festivities unfold Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 6-7) at Kaohsiung National Stadium (高雄世運主場館).
The event features top K-pop idols and Korean drama actors, marking a significant cultural milestone for Taiwan's entertainment scene. Korean media outlet STARNEWS organized the AAA 2025, highlighting both K-pop performances and Korean drama stars at the celebration. IVE member Jang Won-young and Lee Jun-ho will host the event, promising a star-studded presentation.
Artists began arriving in Taiwan on charter flights from Incheon Airport (仁川機場) early Friday (Dec. 5), greeted by enthusiastic crowds. Fans gathered in large numbers at Kaohsiung International Airport (小港機場) before its doors opened at 5 a.m., creating scenes of excitement. Notable attendees include K-pop stars Lim Yoon-a (潤娥), Lee Jun-ho (李俊昊), Hyeri (惠利), and Japanese actor Takeru Satoh (佐藤健).
Hyeri expressed her excitement in a video message when she received the AAA invitation in August, stating, "I am absolutely thrilled to be able to join everyone in this grand event." Takeru Satoh, a celebrated Japanese actor, will attend following his roles in the original series "Glass Heart" and the popular drama "Let's Get Married." His performances have endeared him to fans across Asia. The AAA unfolds this weekend, bringing together top entertainment talent from across the region for two days of performances and awards. ◼
