TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taiwan Futures Exchange (臺灣期貨交易所) has taken significant strides in aligning with the Financial Supervisory Commission's (金融監督管理委員會) goal of making Taiwan an asset management hub in Asia. By attending Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) in December 2025, the exchange aims to boost Taiwan's global financial market presence.
Yang Chao-shun (楊朝舜), the vice president of the exchange, led the delegation to ADFW. This event, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (阿布達比全球市場), stands as the largest financial gathering in the Middle East and North Africa, covering topics such as economic forums, asset management, and fintech. During the event, the exchange engaged with key financial institutions, investors, and traders from the Middle East, aiming to enhance Taiwan's appeal in international asset allocation.
The exchange also met with representatives from the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (阿布達比投資局) to discuss Taiwan's futures market products and systems, boosting visibility among Middle Eastern investors. In Dubai, they further engaged with quantitative traders, asset managers, and regional brokers, sharing insights on recent system optimizations and product developments while gathering feedback on trading experiences in Taiwan.
In recent years, the Taiwan Futures Exchange has actively promoted new products and systems, witnessing a steady growth in foreign investment. The exchange plans to continue expanding its international business landscape, strengthening ties with major financial markets in the Middle East and globally, and enlarging its market scale.
