New mayor makes sure Taipei runs smoothly through holidays

TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Chinese New Year is almost here, and the Taipei City Governement wants to ensure the city runs smoothly throughout the holidays.

Ahead of the celebrations, Mayor Chiang Wan-an checked the fire safety equipment of a local KTV store on Wednesday. As many will gather with friends and family, the mayor has emphasized the importance of prevention.

Chiang visited a night market later that day, where he handed out some lucky money for the new year.
