TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Ferrari's sales in Taiwan have doubled in the past four years, reflecting the wealth effect of the chip boom and the impact of global supply chain adjustments that have brought manufacturing back to Taiwan, according to a report by the Financial Times.

Ferrari chief executive Benedetto Vigna said the growth rate of supercar sales in Taiwan even surpasses that of mainland China and Hong Kong. Ferrari's profits hit a record high last year, mainly reflecting increased customer demand for customized value-added options.

Although the main sales markets are Europe and the United States, the sales growth rate to mainland China and Taiwan increased from 5% in 2020 to nearly 11% last year. Ferrari sold 13,663 cars worldwide last year, with a net profit of 1.26 billion euros.

Sales of supercars in Taiwan last year reached 1,300, a growth of 30%. Vincent Liu, general manager of Taiwan's official Ferrari dealer, Modena Motori Taiwan, said Ferrari holds a significant position in Taiwan, occupying 40% of the two-door supercar market.
