Kaohsiung People Stop" event (1.2.3. 高雄人). This collaboration marks a significant promotional effort as Kaohsiung becomes Taiwan's central hub for the global city's promotional activities.
Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai (陳其邁) expressed his delight and honor that the Squid Game Season 2 promotion included Kaohsiung as a critical location. He noted that as a global IP, the event aims to leverage Kaohsiung's landscapes, local culture, and community enthusiasm to amplify the season's impact. The mayor welcomed citizens and fans across Taiwan to participate in the event.
In a press release, Netflix revealed that Squid Game Season 2 will premiere on Dec. 26, promising more thrills and challenges for global audiences. Korean actor Lee Jung-jae will reprise his role as Seong Gi-hun.
