TAIPEI (TVBS News) — TSMC (台積電) on Tuesday (Dec. 10) reported revenue for November reached NT$276.058 billion, a 12.2% decrease from October but a 34% increase year over year, driven by robust AI demand and strong smartphone orders.

TSMC's cumulative revenue from January to November 2024 stood at approximately NT$2.6161 trillion, a 31.8% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This figure not only surpasses the entire revenue for 2023, which was NT$2.1617 trillion, but also underscores the company's growth trajectory.

October's revenue hit a record high of NT$314.24 billion, boosted by the high demand for 3nm and 5nm chips. It showed a monthly increase of 24.8% and a yearly increase of 29.2%.

TSMC used an assumed exchange rate of NT$32 per U.S. dollar for the fourth quarter, forecasting revenue between NT$835.2 billion and NT$860.8 billion. With October and November's combined revenue at NT$590.298 billion, the company has already achieved 70% of its financial target's lower bound, with expectations that December revenue will also meet projections.
