TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Century Asia (喜樂時代影城) in Ximending (西門町) will unveil its revamped theater on Friday (March 14), offering a unique blend of art and technology. The cinema, featuring 10 theaters with 1,341 seats, will host a special promotion on Saturday, allowing the first 1,000 patrons to watch a movie for NT$50.
The cinema's innovative design includes six giant micro-theaters and four medium-to-large theaters, all equipped with leather sofa seating and a first-of-its-kind phone storage space in the armrests. The standout feature, the Times Hall with 348 seats, promises an immersive experience akin to a concert, offering audiences a chance to feel like a star in a second.
On the first floor, an immersive projection corridor creates a stunning artistic feast, with the 3D Joy Bear (喜樂熊) transformed into a trendy mascot. The Times Hall will also serve as a versatile space for movies, concerts, stand-up comedy, and conferences. The cinema aims to enhance happiness with its All in One concept, meticulously planning various facilities and events.
To celebrate the opening, the cinema will distribute 1,000 vouchers 30 minutes before business hours on March 15. These vouchers allow holders to purchase a movie ticket for NT$50. Also, customers who join the Ximending Cinema membership and top up NT$3,000 might have a chance to win a Yamaha electric scooter worth NT$100,000.
