TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Stable weather will prevail across Taiwan on Saturday (April 12), with conditions ranging from partly cloudy to sunny, the Central Weather Administration (CWA, 氣象署) reported a day earlier. However, a front approaching in the afternoon could bring scattered showers, particularly in the northern and northeastern regions, as well as the mountainous areas in the south.

Forecaster Chang Cheng-chuan (張承傳) explained that the front will pass between Saturday night and Sunday morning, expanding the rain coverage and bringing thunderstorms to various regions. He advised the public to remain cautious of heavy rainfall during this period. After the front moves through, the rain will subside as moisture levels decrease.

Chang highlighted that Saturday's temperatures will be warm to hot, ranging from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius, with the potential for foehn winds in the eastern part of the island. As the northeast monsoon arrives on Sunday, temperatures will drop slightly, with highs between 22 and 25 degrees and nighttime lows from 15 to 18 degrees.

The northeast monsoon will weaken by next Monday, but radiation cooling may cause morning lows to dip slightly below Sunday's temperatures. Daytime temperatures, however, will rise noticeably, reaching 28 to 30 degrees. Taiwan will experience mostly cloudy to sunny weather, with no significant cold air expected from next Monday to Thursday. The western region could see highs around 30 degrees, while the eastern region will have temperatures between 25 and 26 degrees.
