TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn, 鴻海) chairman and Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA, 電電公會) incumbent chairman Young Liu (劉揚偉) is leading a delegation in Poland to explore the establishment of a TEEMA Science Park (TEEMA科學園區). Liu aims to assist TEEMA members in expanding into the European market.
Liu emphasized Foxconn's global presence and expressed a desire to leverage TEEMA to attract more companies, thereby strengthening local industry development. Meanwhile, TEEMA highlighted the global supply chain reorganization as a catalyst for Taiwanese businesses to seek overseas manufacturing and transit points. The association explained that this strategy aims to maintain export flexibility and competitive advantage.
TEEMA has gathered data on key markets in North America, Europe, and Asia, formulating strategies for overseas market expansion. The initial phase involves setting up supply chain integration platforms in Mexico, Poland, India, and the United States. Additionally, the first TEEMA Science Park is set for Mexico's Sonora state, focusing on sustainability, resilience, and shared prosperity. The park will integrate production, commerce, and living functions, powered by AI and sustainable ESG practices.
